2017 News - Toulon Public Library

Toulon Public Library District

If you haven’t been to the library recently you might like to come see some changes we have made.  Recently, Howard Adams donated a beautiful clock to the library.  It is displayed on the wall by our fireplace.  We ask that you don’t touch as it is one of a kind.

We also have added a quilt that was made from the signatures of the people in the adult Summer Reading Program.  We have everyone sign a piece of cloth and then made them in to a quilt.  It now hangs on the south wall of the library.

Some years ago at the old library, Marj Mowers and the after-school groups painted a round table with some of their favorite characters from books.  We now have that table hanging on the wall by the Summer Reading quilt.  Whenever, I see that table I have good memories.  I remember so many of the children that painted that table.  They now have children of their own and some even come to the new library!

Please watch for more information on Stark County Design’s class on their Christmas Wreath workshop to be held at the library on November 29 and 30.

The Toulon Library will be presenting Melody from A Few of My Favorite Things a class on how to make Mesh Wreaths.  The class will be held on Thursday, December 7 at 6 pm.  The cost of the class will be $30.  Preregistration is required.  You may register by calling the library at 286-5791 or emailing us at

We have processed new titles that may catch you fancy.  Some of them are:  Tell Tale by Jeffrey Archer, Wicked Deeds by Heather Graham, Glass Houses by Louise Penny, A Man for Temperance by Gilbert Morris, and The Bitter Season by Tammy Hoag.

One of the services that we offer is making copies.  Unfortunately, due to the cost of paper and ink we have had to raise the cost of copies to 20 cents per page.  Don’t forget that we also laminate and send faxes for a small fee.
